We are excited to announce Detego v4.18, a release packed with enhancements across the key stages of an investigation, from data extraction and analysis to reporting. Designed with lab-based and on-scene investigators in mind, v4.18 delivers significant improvements in speed, accuracy, and investigative workflows.
As AI-generated images and videos become increasingly prevalent in investigations, Analyse AI+ introduces a new AI Image Detector. This workflow helps investigators quickly identify AI-generated content by analysing metadata, providing accurate results in seconds.
Detego v4.18 accelerates the extraction of DD and E01 forensic images, increasing processing speeds by up to 5x. These improvements help reduce the time required to review large datasets, bringing hours of work down to minutes.
The release further enhances BitLocker support, enabling you to easily decrypt image files containing multiple partitions. This improvement ensures quicker access to critical data from complex disk structures.
Version 4.18 improves Detego’s mapping tools with a new approach that allows investigators to work with multiple smaller mapping regions, cutting out unnecessary data for faster and more targeted analysis. The updated mapping system seamlessly merges mapping files, creating a smoother and more intuitive workflow. The legacy mapping system is still supported, ensuring compatibility with existing workflows while offering this new enhanced option. Investigators can access both mapping formats offline, ensuring access even when on the move with no internet connectivity.
The new RSMF Exporter allows you to export chats, text messages, and emails directly into RSMF format. This streamlines the review and analysis of communication data, improving overall case management for those using Relativity.
The Redaction Editor (currently in BETA) gives investigators early access to powerful tools for redacting sensitive data across a wide range of file types, including PDFs, DOCX files, PPTX, JPG, and other popular picture formats. Investigators can test capabilities such as undo, redo, edit, group, and delete redactions, while helping to inform future improvements.
