We are pleased to introduce Detego 2026 R1, a release focused on helping investigators work faster, gain clearer insight, and operate seamlessly across lab- and field-based data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.
At the heart of this release is Artefact_Compare, a powerful new capability in Detego Analyse AI+ that enables investigators to rapidly identify what has changed on a device between two points in time. By automatically comparing baseline and post-event exhibits, investigators can quickly surface added, removed, or modified artefacts, reducing analysis time and supporting clearer, more defensible timelines.
Detego 2026 R1 also delivers significant workflow improvements for reporting and review. The new Action Items hub centralises export and reporting tasks, reducing the risk of missed data and simplifying disclosure. Investigators can now generate targeted chat reports per conversation thread, preview archive and database files without full extraction, and benefit from enhanced OmniViewer capabilities that make navigating text, metadata, and video content faster and more intuitive.
For global and distributed teams, expanded language support across the standard Detego Analyse AI+ and Detego Field interfaces enables cross-border investigations. German, French, Italian, and Swedish have been added in this release, building on existing localisation for Spanish, Japanese, and Arabic. In parallel, web-based enhancements such as improved job monitoring and export download management provide greater visibility and control during long-running analysis tasks.
Support for emerging and specialised evidence types continues to expand. Automated processing of V2 drone flight data now extracts coordinates and flight metadata without changes to existing workflows, providing clearer insight into drone activity. Compatibility has also been extended to include forensic images created with TX1 Imagers, broadening the range of evidence that can be analysed directly within Detego.
Detego 2026 R1 also introduces significant enhancements to Detego Field, including full support for macOS 26 Tahoe and APFS extractions, improved timeline accuracy through time zone delta tracking, enhanced boot-environment visibility on high-resolution displays, and clearer disk inspection with side-by-side encrypted and unencrypted drive views.
With faster change detection, streamlined reporting, expanded evidence support, and stronger field capabilities, Detego 2026 R1 delivers greater clarity and control at every stage of an investigation.
