Detego 2026 R3 is here, bringing new capabilities and enhancements across our award-winning digital forensics platform to give investigators greater flexibility, more control over their evidence, and a more streamlined experience from acquisition through to analysis and review.
One of the highlights is the all-new Forensic Image Converter, which enables investigators to convert between DD, E01, and Ex01 formats while preserving imaging logs and metadata. Existing forensic images can also be re-encoded with different split sizes and compression levels, providing greater flexibility to meet storage and processing requirements.
R3 also takes Detego Analyse AI+’s drone flight path analysis up a notch. Investigators can now visualise multiple flights simultaneously, examine telemetry and altitude profiles, and replay flight paths with live telemetry updates, bringing drone movements into focus.
We’ve also introduced several enhancements to email evidence examination. Improved PST and OST navigation, alongside a dedicated Application Data email view, enables investigators to explore email folders, examine additional header information, and open supported attachments directly within the OmniViewer. Keeping pace with evolving email technologies, Detego now supports data extraction from the latest version of Microsoft Outlook, ensuring investigators can continue to access valuable email evidence as the technology evolves.
When it comes to preparing evidence for review, R3’s enhanced redaction export controls give investigators greater control over what information is disclosed, with flexible redaction options and authoriser sign-off helping safeguard sensitive information. Meanwhile, the new Portable Viewer export workflow streamlines the process of preparing selected evidence for external review, with password protection and optional supporting information.
There’s plenty more to explore. R3 introduces an enhanced reporting engine with a more interactive experience through the new Detego Analyse AI+ interface, alongside decryption-aware logical disk extraction and updated physical imaging progress reporting.
A range of additional refinements, including automatic video thumbnails, improved filtering, and more intuitive tag management, round out the release, making everyday evidence examination and navigation easier than ever.
